A third blog? No effing waay...
Well, I did a post on my, ahem, 'personal' blog in tribute to the beauty of this fine weather were having, and I thought (for no reason in particular) that Id create yet another one 'o' these, to exhibit, if you like, my photography.
I honestly do have no idea why... but lets just go with it.
Because I feel I should explain the blog title early, its a book by Jon McGregor. Im not a big reader, although Im trying to priorotise literature a little bit more because Im aware of how valuable it is, and thanks to this novel, how it can be kind of amazing. I guess what Jon McGregor is trying to teach the people who read this book is that everything, literally every thing physical, non physical, every tiny little detail can be made remarkable if you look at it in the right way.
For me thats partly what art and music, among other things, is about. My photography/music isnt anything extraordinary. I write/snap whatever feels natural, and whatever I want to, but I hope that as I get better at those things, one day I can make something basic a little more remarkable.
Specifically in photography, I want to shoot the little details people forget about or dismiss. To, quite shockingly/foolishly, quote myself from a lyric I wrote probably verging on five years ago, 'I want to find beauty in the ugliest places'. Not even that, I just want to bring out the beauty where I see it, as effectively as I possibly can. I want to show people what I think is beautiful and why. And I want it to be unconventional, which I guess is the hardest part.
